It's yet another bare bones service with some pretty design on top whose only discernible value is in the form of customers tricked into providing eyeballs for ads. So what's the point of this transactions page if it simply shows you a list of all your transactions exactly as your bank provides them? What's the added value? All in all, I was VERY disappointed by Mint.

Ok, how about transactions in a certain category? Again, not possible. Ok, how about transactions in a specific amount? Also not possible. Let's say you want to see all your deposits. and in the very least, highlight that account so I would know I am only seeing transactions for that account. Um, why? I don't want to have to remember to select "All accounts" if I want to see all my transactions. Except, not all your transactions but only for one randomly selected account. The "Transactions" page shows all your transactions. So the alert itself is useless, the link is a lie, and all you get is ads, ads, and more ads. The alert also says "see how much I received" but if you click on that link, it just takes you to the main "Overview" page, which again is a just bunch of ads. I started getting these alerts in my email but all they say is "you've received a large deposit", with no indication of how much. I wanted to be alerted to "large deposits", since a large deposit would indicate rent received. The "Alerts" page has another myriad customizations. However, once you unselect everything but "Accounts", you get a page that shows dozens of ads under the guise of "Ways To Save", with just a couple tiny links on the left to look up your accounts. It gives you a lot of garbage by default but you can spend 15 minutes going through various customizations to unselect all the randomness vying for your attention. The "Overview" page, which is the first thing you see upon login, is customizable.

However, once you start using it, you quickly realize that it's yet another web service whose goal is to capture your eyeballs to aggressively sell you services. At first, gives you high hopes: it just looks like something that was built with end user in mind. I was told by several people that it used to be magical until it was bought by Intuit, and I can see what they meant. I tried using to manage a couple rental accounts.
